"People ignore design that ignores people."
-Frank Chimero
I found this quote on a website I was looking at and after our VCT today where we discussed the topic of audiences, this jumped right out at me. It is now very clear to me that it will prove to be very difficult to create a piece of graphic design without keeping in mind the viewer of the work. If the piece ignores the fact that a specific person or general target audience will view it, then in turn, it will not be noticed. This links in very well with the GDF too. It has made me think more deeply about the research I am doing. It seems clear now that whatever the final outcome may be, the target audience is the most vital part of the work and the success of any piece of Graphic Design, now and in the future, depends on how well it goes down in the public eye with regards to the person/people it is aimed at!
